“Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:” – 1 Peter 4:12
You may be going through a fiery trial right now. You may have been faced with a fiery trial in the past and failed miserably.
What you are facing is not uncommon and unique to you. Take heart in the fact that many have gone through exactly what you are going through, and have come out winners.
If you are faced with a trial or temptation and you miss the mark, don’t despair. Get up, dust yourself off, repent and with extreme and overwhelming joy – move on. Strengthen yourself in preparation for the next fiery trial. Next time, you will succeed.
Never, ever give up. If you fail, make the dogged determination that you will not fail next time. Spend time in the Word and on your face before God in sincere repentance. Ask God to show you how to make it through the next time you are faced with a trial or temptation.
